In the self-contained "Another Cold Morning," Spider Jerusalem, outlaw journalist, walks with the Revivals--people who have come out from cryogenic freeze into a world they don't understand, clinging to life in a city that has forgotten them completely.

Spider discusses the Revivals, people who have been revived from cryogenic storage after long periods of time. Almost all Revivals are unable to deal with the modern world and are generally ignored by the public. Spider makes friends with one Revival, a photojournalist from the 20th century named Mary.
